Warriors Take State Championship in Academics

 

 

The West Iredell Army JROTC Academic Bowl team is only one of twenty-four schools, out of the 1,684 that competed, to advance to the national jeopardy style academic competition.  The Warriors will compete in the final Championship round of The College Options Foundation's Academic Bowl in Washington, D.C. from June 22-26.

 

Over 1,684 teams competed in two rounds of online competition against thousands of JROTC students from across the world to win a place in the championship and an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.  JROTC programs participated in online academic tests in order to progress from regional and national levels.  In these rounds, students were tested on standard high school curriculum in subjects of Math, Science, English, and Leadership Skills.
