                                                         FIRST ANNUAL 8th GRADE WASHINGTON, DC CLASS TRIP!!!!

Dear Parents of Rising 8th Grade Students,

We are excited to let you know the 8th Grade students will be going to Washington, DC on April 27-30, 2017. We will leave school at approximately 5:30am on Thursday, April 27th and return about 7:30pm on Sunday, April 30, 2017. We will visit the Smithsonian’s, Monuments, War Memorials, Newseum, Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Union Station, Arlington Cemetery, Holocaust Museum/Memorial, participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and much more. 

Trip Dates: April 27-30, 2017

Trip Fee:  $450 for each student and chaperone.

Transportation:  Rose Charters

Accommodations:  Hampton Inn & Suites near Ft. Belvoir/Mt. Vernon

Meals: Magill’s, Mitsitam (American Indian Museum), Homemades By Suzanne and various food courts & buffet restaurants

Deposit Due Dates:

            Commitment Deposit:  $150.00 due no later than October 3, 2016.  Please turn in Commitment Form (link at the bottom of this page) along with the first deposit.

            Second Deposit:  $150.00 due no later than November 28, 2016

            Final Payment:  $150.00 due no later than February 3, 2017.  


Preferred method of payment is online.  Checks will also be accepted.  Please make them payable to Lakeshore Middle School.

And yes, we need chaperones to accompany the students.  There will be one chaperone per 3-4 students.  If you are interested, please contact Lisa VanBuhler To reserve your spot, please submit the payments as stated above.

REQUIRED  Medication Authorization Form  to be submitted by every student in case the LMS Staff needs to
                                                                       administer any type of medication (Over- the-counter or Prescription).  
                                                           Please have a physician sign the form.
