* Aug. 29th-31st:  AIMsWeb Assessments (reading fluency)
* Sept. 3rd:  No School! (Labor Day)
* Sept. 19th:  Early Release day (dismiss at 11:00)
* Sept. 27th:  Progress reports go home

About Me
Mrs. Furlong
 
     Welcome!  This is my sixth year at Celeste Henkel.  I am thrilled about being a part of the third grade team and this community!
 
     I grew up in Statesville and attended school in I-SS.  I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I earned a BA degree in Elementary Education.  My husband, Ryan, and I live in Huntersville with our two cats, Cameron and Camilla.  In my free time, I love to ride my horses, Winnie and Nick, and compete when I get the chance.  Reading and cooking are other loves of mine.  During football and basketball season, I'm a die hard Carolina Tarheel fan! 
 
     I truly enjoy teaching and love the "ah-ha" moments with students.  I look forward to another exciting year with a new crew and all the growth that will take place!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
