The mission of the Troutman Middle School Bands is to meet or exceed the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for band. We will measure this by playing tests, concert assessments, and daily in class assignments. We will do this by following the norms we have set up for each other.

 

 

I am in my seventh year of teaching band at Troutman Middle. I was honored to be selected as Troutman Middle School's 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year!

 

I graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State in 2006 with a bachelors in Music Education and a minor in Spanish. (GO APPS!) I graduated from East Carolina in 2011 with a Masters degree in Music Education.

 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, and cooking. I live in Elkin with my husband Chad and my miniature schnauzer, Iris.
