Dennis Sorenson
“Most “Most'""Most people search high and wide for the keys to success. If they only knew, the key to their dreams lies within." GW Carver Our Classroom Mission Our mission is to learn about both South America and Europe. We will learn to understand their basic structure, history, geography, diverse cultures, and how they relate to North Carolina and the U.S. As knowledgeable citizens, we can best participate positively in American democracy. To accomplish this students will give forth our best effort, listen when we are being taught, ask for help, come to class prepared, study materials, and help teach each other. We expect Mr. Sorenson to give us clear directions, be challenging, and offer his help.
About Me This is my third year at Troutman Middle. I have come to TMS after spending two years at South Iredell High. Born and raised in northern Michigan, I relocated to North Carolina 6 years ago and love the warmer climate. Prior to living in NC, I attended Grand Valley State University and am certified in Social Studies and Physical Education. While at Grand Valley, I walked on the the football team and played during the 2001-03 seasons. After graduation, I taught in Grand Rapids Public Schools 1 year and moved to North Carolina the following year. I enjoy coaching football, coaching wrestling, playing sports, and nearly any outdoor activity: hiking, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, wakeboarding, downhill skiing and much more. I have been married to my wonderful wife since 2005 and we have 2 beautiful daughters 2 years and >1 year. |
