Statesville Middle School's Media Center has an open, flexible schedule.  Students may use the Media Center from 8:00-3:15.  SMS students must have a school agenda and teacher's permission in order to visit the Media Center independent of scheduled class visits. Please also remember that Ms. Davis meets with the Battle of the Books Team during Bulldog Time, so the Media Center is closed during this time.

 

Students may check out 2 books at a time for 2 weeks as long as they have no overdue, lost, or damaged books.  Books not turned in by the due date have a $.05 per day fine.  Overdue notices are given weekly to the Homeroom teachers to pass out to the students.

 

The Media Center is available for book selection, research, AR testing.  It has a study area, classroom area, and computer lab.  There are 10 computer stations available for card catalog use and technology created works.
