Welcome to students and parents of North Middle! This will be an exciting new school year and I look forward to working with my students for a successful school year.
My Classroom Mission
We, the students in Mrs. Souther's Business Class, will become proficient in the use of the computer through learning the proper use of the internet, computer ethics, database skills, spreadsheet skills and word processing skills that will prepare us for life. We, the students is Mrs. Souther's Career Class, will master the skills needed to find a career that matches our personality, interests, skills and values. We will become proficient in the skills needed for work in the 21st century.
Strategic Goal
All of us will master by 100% the computer and career skills necessary to prepare us to lead productive lives in the 21st Century.
About Me
This will be my 13th year at North Middle as Computer/Career teacher. I enjoy working with the staff and the students at North Middle. Both of my children, David age 21 and LeeAnna age 18, have attended NIMS. LeeAnna is a freshman attending UNC at Greensboro with a medical course of study. David is pursuing a career with the Navy.
I attended Newton-Conover High School where I graduated 10th in my class. As an ASU alumni, I graduated magna cum laude in business education. I have gained practical business experience through working in a private business office and a state office for a combined total of over 18 years.
My hobbies include reading christian literature or historical novels. Also, I enjoy traveling with my husband, Ricky, and our two children. Of course, our children keep me busy investing in their life and interests. My three dogs and one cat are a joy also.
