I attended Appalachian State University where I received my BS and two master degrees in elementary and middle school education.  I have been teaching for 27 years and then some.  My husband is the Assistant Dean of Arts and Science at Forsyth Community College and we discuss educational issues often as we rear three children through the public schools and colleges.
