Welcome to Physical Education and being active!  I look forward to teaching your child.  Participate in our activities to maintain a healthy body and mind.  You do not have to be an Olympic athlete to get an A in my class.  Coming to class, dressing out, participating and giving effort in all activities gives you an opportunity for that A!  I expect students to show good sportsmanship, to have respect for themselves and others and to have fun.

LMS PE Mission Statement

Our mission for the PE classes is to learn about healthy living and how to stay socially, mentally and physically fit.  We will do this by doing our best, paying attention and having respect for ourselves and others.  We will make this happen by being on time, dressing out, participating, not goofing off, having confidence in what we are being taught and having a positive attitude.  We will do this by keeping our eye on the goal and most importantly having respect for the teacher and each other.

The Ca$h Account

I am a life-long resident of Iredell County.  I grew up in Troutman, North Carolina, attending Troutman Elementary, Troutman Middle and South Iredell High School.  I attended Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina on an academic and athletic scholarship and earned an A.B. degree in Physical Education K-12.  I played volleyball, basketball and softball for four years at Lenoir-Rhyne.  I earned a Master of Science degree in Safety and Driver Education from N.C A. & T. State University.  Some of my interests include jet skiing, photography, nature, collecting seashells, biking, hiking, sports, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the company of my three dogs.  I love the beach too!  At Lakeshore I coach volleyball, basketball and am athletic director.  I love teaching and coaching!  One of my lifelong goals has been to give back to the children of Iredell County.  I love what I do!
