My life started in Huron, South Dakota, and I graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota. I continue to have great respect for South Dakota but I am now a committed North Carolina resident and enjoying every minute of the beautiful weather. I continued my educational endeavor by attending Mid-Western State University in Wichita Falls, Texas to become certified as a Cross Categorical Special Education teacher. Recently I obtained my masters degree from Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.  

     It seems as if education is the focus of my life but not completely. I have three daughters and a son. Yet, our current joy is our four granddaughters.
