I grew up in Greensboro, NC where I attended Page High School and did gymnastics for 13 years.  After I graduated, I moved to the beach where I went to UNC-Wilmington.  I was very spoiled to be able to live at the beach for 6 years.  I have a 24 year old brother, Michael, who is in med school at ECU and a 23 year old sister, Melanie, who lives in Wilmington.  My parents live in Greensboro November-February and then live in Wrightsville Beach the rest of the year.  They are almost full time beach bums. :) 

   I graduated UNCW in 2006 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I was a teacher assistant in first and third grade the year after that.  In July of 2007, I moved to Raleigh, where I taught 1st grade for 4 years.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to live in Charlotte and work at Shepherd as your child's 2nd grade teacher.  I know that we are going to have a great year and make a lot of growth while still being able to learn and have fun!
