I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Winston-Salem State University.  My Master's degree is in Community/Agency Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. 

 

My work experience includes six years at Lenoir-Rhyne University and Johnson C. Smith University.  I have been a high school counselor for over 12 years.  I love working with young people especially high school students.  It is amazing to see students develop into productive adults.

 

I was born and raised in the Stony Point community.  My husband, Jerry, and I have three beautiful daughters.  My children keep me very active.  I am very involved in my church.  In my spare time, I enjoy writing stage plays and catering.
