My Classroom Mission
Together we will become 21st century learners, which means that we will learn to become lifelong learners. We will be successful in all our tasks by working together as a group, participating, and creating a learning environment that is mutually respectful.
About Me
I have spent most of my adult life at West Iredell High School. I am a 1980 graduate of West ( a proud Warrior) and a 1984 graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina. I received teacher certification from Lenoir Rhyne College. I have been teaching in the state of North Carolina for twenty-five years; my first two years were spent as a Volunteer In Mission for a total of twenty-seven years of experience. My teaching experience began in a tiny village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was there that I learned that there is nothing more important than the development of a child. I am the proud parent of an Appalachain State Mountaineer and a Queens University Royal. Both are West High graduates. I want my students to have positive experiences in my classroom and I believe that I, as the teacher, you, as the parent(s), and our students will each contribute to classroom success.
