About Me
I am from nearby Salisbury. I attended Salisbury High School, where I competed in Track, Cross Country, and Wrestling. I attended Catawba College, where I recieved my degree in Physical Education in 92'. I also have an Associate Degree in Physio Fitness and Health.
I began my career at South Rowan High School, where I taught Algebra I for 5 years. I coached Men's and Women's Soccer while I was there. I moved to Iredell County to teach PE 14 years ago. I taught PE at Statesville Middle School for 7 years and coached the Soccer team while I was there. We did win a championship during those years and set records in every statistical category. I was also lucky enough to be able to coach Cross Country at SIHS during the Fall each year. We won 2 County Championships and Qualified individuals for the State Championships 3 out of 5 years. I then took the Men's Soccer position at South in 03'. We have finished no worse than 3rd each year in conference, including undefeated conference seasons in 05' and 08'. We have qualified for the state playoffs each year. I have coached the Women's team for 5 years. We made it to the playoffs each year. The last 3 years we went undefeated in conference. 42-0 baby! I have taught at South for 7 years now.
I have a wonderful wife Brittany, who is a teacher also. We have two boys, Zachary a 9 years old and Cooper a 4 year old.
I am an avid runner. I have run competitively for 30+ years. I play indoor soccer in Charlotte. And when there is time, I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and playing golf.
