The SAP Mission

The Student Assistance Program recognizes that personal problems are part of life. In today's society our students are often subjected to personal issues that may hinder their ability to become academically successful. Our mission is to support our students and their families through all of their difficulties, and provide the appropriate services and resources needed to make them successful.

About Me

This is my 14th year as SAP Coordinator at North High.
Prior to becoming a Raider, I worked in the mental health system
for 10 years as an adolescent substance abuse professional.

I am a honor graduate from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Social Work. I am a Licensed School Social Worker.

I am married to Jeff Swofford. We have 2 sons, Paul, 21 and Morgan, 16.

I love music, concerts, movies, sports, and the Carolina Tar Heels! I believe
God, family, friends, and laughter are the best kinds of medicine!
