Welcome to Civics/Economics

Matthew Hill
This course closely studies our political, legal, and economic systems and how it compares with other countries.  The goal of this course is to make each student a more informed, active, and responsible citizen by familiarizing them with the Foundations of the American Political System at all levels:  local, state, and national.  This course will also focus on the basic economic principles of the American market system and how it compares with other economies of the world.  This class will prepare each student for the End of Course Test at the end of the semester.

My Classroom Mission

By the end of the semester, 100% of the Civics/Economics Honors students will be proficient on the End-of-Course exam (EOC) by reaching level 3/level 4.  100% of students will have 85% or above for the Civics/Economics course.

I am available for tutoring after school:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3:15-4:15pm
