The mission of this class is to rigorously challenge each student to achieve his/her personal best academically, and master skills that will give way to a productive and rewarding quality of life. This mission will be accomplished through the active engagement of students and the involvement/support of parents, staff and the community.
About Family and Consumer Sciences:
Family and Consumer Sciences falls under the umbrella of Career and Technical Education classes. These classes may be taken as elective courses or as Career and Technical Education Clusters under "Electives and other requirements" for ninth graders entering high school in 2009-10 or later. Guidance Counselors and Family and Consumer Sciences teachers are available to give guidance on appropriate courses of action for enrolling in these classes.
