"Though this be madness, yet there is a method in't!" HamletAct 2 Scene 2
My Classroom Mission
Carpe Diem! I see it as my responsibility to inspire new ways of thinking and seeing the world.
If you are confused, it is okay. We are all here to learn. Ask a question. I want to know what you are thinking. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question.
About Me
I have lived in Chicago-land area, Milwaukee, Charlotte, and Mooresville.
I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 8 years where I graduated from Marquette University with a Major in Secondary Education and Communications with a Minor in English. I taught for 3.5 years at a Milwaukee Public School.
I moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2007. I taught at a Charlotte Public School for a short stint before finding myself at Lake Norman High School. I worked diligently and reflected on my role as a teacher to become National Board Certified in the fall of 2010.
I set a standard for myself and for my students and expect everyone to reach it. I have been told that I am a demanding teacher, because of those standards, but I am always around to help you reach your maximum potential. I will treat you as adults and try my best to prepare you for life outside of high school. I look for respect, effort, enthusiasm, and openness to new ideas in my students and my own life.
