The fifth grade students in Mrs. Banister's class are here to learn and to get a good education to be successful and ready for the rest of our life.  We will work hard and be the best we can be.  To be successful fifth graders, we will help each other, be a friend to others, and set positive examples for others in the school as we continue to learn and have fun!

 

My name is Nancy Banister.  I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  I moved to Charlotte in 1989 (right after Hugo visited).  I am married and have two children. My son, Matt, is 28 years old and my daughter, Ashley, is 26 years old.  I have a cats and a dog.  This is my twenty-fifth year of teaching.  I graduated from Valdosta State University with my undergraduate and received my master's degree from the University of North Florida.  I have my master's degree in elementary education.  I am a big Florida Gator fan!
