About Me
My journey into education began in 1977, and the excitement and anticipation continues with each new year. Every class is special and unique, as is every child whose life touches mine. I love teaching, and I strive to bring a love of learning to my students.
Myformal education includes an AA Degree on Early Childhood Education from Rowan Carbarrus Community College, a BS degree in Education from Gardner Webb University and a Master of Arts degree from UNC-Charlotte. My concentrations are in language arts and social studies. My true education, however, has come from a lifetime of working with children.
My Goal
It is my goal, to give each student the desire, the confidence, and the knowledge needed to take the next step towards achieving his or her dreams. This year, the children and I will be working hard to reach these goals. Your assistance will be crucial to our success. There is a saying that "It takes a community to raise a child." Join me in making your child's fifth grade year rewarding and successful.
