My name is Mr. Cramer and I will be working with our Level two MYP students in Humanities! We be focusing our studies this year on the whole globe (minus the U.S.) from the fall of Constantinople and Age of Exploration continuing the Common Core implementation from Level one. Through the foundations of basic instituions of civilizations such as government, culture, economics, and religion we will discover how the world was shaped into what we have today. We will use this topics in relation to our AOI's (Areas of interaction) throughout the year and working with many different ATL's (approaches to learning) to give students a well rounded bag of tricks for future use.

My Classroom Mission
To provide your child with the necessary skills to be a 21st century learner while improving their skills in critical thinking, interdisciplinary studies, and understanding multiple cultural viewpoints throughout history.

About MeThis is my fifth year teaching in the Iredell-Statesville school system. I am very psyched to be working with your children, history is my real passion! I am originally from upstate New York and received my undergraduate degree in Adolescent Social Studies Education and a master's in Literacy Education through SUNY Cortland http://www.cortland.edu.
Starting this past October I have always received training at the IB Academy and serve a site visitor, consultant and workshop leader for the IBEN network. IB curriculum and pedagogy are things I feel very strongly about and am glad to be able to use my knowledge to help out other IB educators!
I played soccer, basketball, and my favorite baseball through high school. I have also coached baseball and basketball at the high school level. I now stay in the game by umpiring high school baseball here in the greater Iredell County area. I love to go out to concerts and jump around or watch a sporting event. I love the Boston Red Sox almost to a fault.
