Level 3 Physical Education Mission Statement Students in Level 3 physical education will develop lifelong fitness concepts to live a healthy, active, balanced lifestyle. Using team, dual, individual, and rhythmic sports, coupled with fitness activities, students will be exposed to a wide range of activities that they can use to build healthy life patterns and habits. Not only will these concepts be used in the classroom, but connections will be made to sports around the world. Sport is an international language and the Level 3 students at Mt. Mourne will speak it fluently.
About Me This is my 3rd year teaching health and physical education here at Mt. Mourne. This year I will be teaching Levels 1 and 3 Health and Physical Education. I have been at Mt. Mourne since the start and am thrilled to be a part of this school's great atmosphere each day. I am a graduate of Baptist Bible College, in Clarks Summit, PA. I majored in Health and Physical Education. I played soccer (Division III) all four years I attended, and captained the team my senior year. I grew up in Rochester, NY. I love all sports, but especially soccer, golf, basketball, and baseball. My favorite teams to follow are the Boston Red Sox and Duke Blue Devils. I also enjoy backpacking with my dad and we have hiked sections of the Appalachian Trail in New England, Virginia, and Tennessee. Traveling around the world is also another thing that I like to do in the summer or whenever an opportunity presents itself. Growing up I lived in The Gambia (located in West Africa) for two months. After college I spent a month in Brazil and the past two summers I have spent a week in Berlin, Germany. I love to wear anything Nike. Along with teaching, I am a staff coach at Lake Norman Soccer Club and an assistant coach for the boys soccer team at Lake Norman High School. |
