My Classroom Mission
We will explore the major areas or art by developing our creativity and critical thinking skills through hands on activities, art history, and discussions.
We will accomplish our goals by listening, participating, and cooperating with each other.
I’m from Milwaukee Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. . I’ve taught all grades in Wisconsin, Iowa, and North Carolina.
I have two sons and three stepchildren, two dogs, and a wonderful husband, Peter O’Reilly who also teaches at Mt. Mourne IB.
I love pursuing a variety of art interests including painting and mixed media, and enjoy sailing, kayaking, and hiking.
Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I love to travel. One of the most memorable trips was a recent trip to Peru where we stayed at a mission and worked with the local Quecha Indian children.
Last summer we traveled to Twillingate Newfoundland for my sons wedding.
We took over 3000 pictures....many of my favorites are the icebergs.
After many years of teaching, I am constantly amazed at the beautiful artwork that can be created by our young people…..they just need a little prodding and encouragement!
