North Carolina schools offer a standardized curriculum that is expected to be taught in each grade level. Student performance is measured through standardized tests based on this standard course of study.
Every public school student in the state takes End-of-Grade tests in grades 3-8 and End-of-Course tests in high school subjects including Algebra, Biology, English, Economic-Legal-and Political Systems, and U.S. History.
Iredell-Statesville students perform above the state average on these tests. On a systemwide average, more than 83% of our students perform at or above grade level.
