In kindergarten, we will ALWAYS do our best by listening, following directions, and being a PEACEMAKER so we can go to first grade.
About Me
I have been teaching for 19 years. I received my teaching degree from UNCC. I am certified K-6 and have a minor in history. My teaching experience began at birth when I was born into a family of many teachers. My mother is a retired third grade teacher. It is because of her that I love what I do! I have taught kindergarten through fourth grade with most of my teaching years in kindergarten. Needless to say, I love my Kinder Kids!
I have two wonderful children! Kayla, my daughter, is a senior at South Iredell and is planning on pursuing a career in nursing. She would eventally like to work in the NICU at a local hospital where she could give the love and care to babies born prematurly like she was or those born with serious medical issues. Mason, my son, is in the eighth grade at Lakeshore Middle. He loves to be outside hunting, fishing, or riding his dirtbike. I have spent several hours doing my necessary school work by a pond, while he catches what he thinks will be dinner or in the woods, supervising the next great deer hunter. We also love to just hang out.
During my spare time, I enjoy riding horses, reading books, and spending time with my dogs, Jake and Max. I love going to the beach and working in my yard. My favorite way to relax is by watching a movie and eating M & Ms and drinking Cheerwine.
