I know that together we will accomplish great things this year!
My Classroom Mission
My mission: I will try my best to effectively teach ALL my ESL students to speak, read, write, and listen in English so they can fully function in their other academic classes.
Student Mission: Together, we will learn and grow in English Language Proficiency. We will all grow in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing through consistent practice and interaction with each other. We will learn, accept and respect each other for our differences and strive to become more knowledgeable of each others cultures.
About Me
Hola!~
My name is Mrs. DiFiore and this is my 3rd year full time at East Elementary. This is my tenth year in the Iredell-Statesville School System. I have taught at West High, West, East and Statesville Middle School.
I am married to Steve DiFiore and have five children: Steven, Nick, Courtney, Mackenzy and Isabella.
Before becoming an ESL teacher, I taught English to students and adults in Fukuoka, Japan and was a children's ski instructor at an international ski school in Leysin, Switzerland.
I have many connections to East Elementary. My younger sister attended East Elementary from 3rd grade to 5th grade. I taught summer school at East Elementary and my mother was the media coordinator, student council advisor and cheerleading coach from 1989-1991 so I am really excited to be at East!!! Go Cobras!!!
