AIG Mission Statement for West Middle School
Our scores will rank in the top 10% of our language arts and math classes.
We will also score 90% or higher on the EOG tests and be prepared for Honors and AP classes in high school. In order to achieve these goals we will put forth effort, be prepared for our classes, ask questions, study and encourage each other.
Iredell-Statesville adopted a new AIG plan, effective July 1, 2010. Information was presented at the fall parent meeting. If you have questions, please call or email Mrs. Dearman.
Students should continue to work on completing "DEP" requirements. If assistance is needed, please contact one of your student's teachers. Math Expo projects will be due in January with others being due later in the spring.
Gifted Process Support
Teachers are now meeting with parents of AIG students to develop individual DEP's. Students should work throughout the school year to complete the requirements as decided upon by the teacher, student and parent. Math projects will be due in February; all others will be due in April.
