Bullying

Bullying is defined as hurtful behavior repeated often over a period of time or on isolated occasions, by which someone deliberately intimidates or harasses another.

The principal and staff at East Middle are aware of the prevalence of bullying in middle schools and recognize our responsibility to provide school and classroom environments that are bully free by:
  • Identifying acts of bullying in our school
  • Promptly investigating all alleged incidents of bullying
  • Providing appropriate intervention for the victims of bullying, as well as interventions and consequences for students who bully other students.
  • Providing district policy training to all staff regarding bullying.
