Homework Policy

I understand the limited family time many families experience nightly, so I really try to keep homework minimal.  I want families to have time to enjoy each other.  With that being said, if you find that homework is a nightly battle, please let me know.  I am willing to work with you to make this a pleasant and successful year for ALL of us!

A typical night will include about 30-45 minutes of homework.  The following list is what you can expect.  Homework is checked during class the following day.  They correct their own math homework.

Reading
 20 minutes a night
*Monthly projects
*Skill practice
Math
 5-10 minutes a night
*each math lesson has a homework page for additional practice
*fact practice should be nightly
Vocabulary
 Students should be reviewing vocabulary nightly!
Online
Tasks posted on Pearson Success (students will not be penalized if they don't have internet access at home).
