We will start the year in August with Teacher Laptop Training and Distribution. Each classroom and enhancement teacher as well as the media coordinator – will attend training at LNHS on Wednesday August 22 at 9 am for a one hour training session. This session will include registering your laptop and a brief overview and training of its components and usage.

Coddle Creek Elementary as well as six other Iredell Statesville Schools.
 
My Technology Mission

This is going to be another exciting and fabulous year for technology in Iredell Statesville Schools. It’s all about Technology Integration and 21stcentury technology skills and tools in line with the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards(NETS•T) and Performance Indicators for Teachers. PDF and integrated with Common Core Standards.

Once school is in session – we will begin our training schedule which will include

FIRST and Foremost – Gradebook setup. This is a required session. Takes just a fewminutes.

Subsequent trainings will include

· In-depth training on Microsoft Office 2010 which is what is installed on the new laptops and will eventually be on all computers in the school.

· Schoolwires – updating webpages

· SMART Notebook 11

· A variety of Web Tools

· Other site specific training

About Me

This is my 16th year in Iredell Statesville Schools.  I taught for four years at NBMills, Kdg, K-1 combination, and 1st grade.  I was the computer teacher for grades k-5 and webmaster for four years at Lake Norman Elementary, and have been an Instructional Technology Coordinator for 8 years.
 
For the 2012 school year I am serving Brawley Middle, Cloverleaf Elementary, Coddle Creek Elementary, Lakeshore Middle, Scotts Elementary, Troutman Middle and CCTL.
