Welcome!  I am looking forward to an exciting school year filled with learning, exploration, and discovery. 

 

I am originally from Portage, Indiana.  My husband and I currently live in Huntersville.  We enjoy spending time watching football, traveling, and playing board games.  In my spare time I love baking and watching the Food Network!

 

I graduated from Manchester College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  After being in the classroom for a number of years, I took several classes at the University of North Carolina Pembroke to learn more about meeting the needs of gifted learners.  I received an add-on AIG teaching certificate through that program. 

 

This is my sixth year teaching in the Iredell-Statesville School System.  This year I will be working with the students and teachers at Lake Norman Elementary School, Lakeshore Elementary School, and Woodland Heights Elementary School.  I look forward to helping teachers enrich their curriculum for the high level students in their classrooms.
