"What I Would Tell America's Founding Fathers"
Congratulations to three of our students for winning the top three places in the Patriot's Pen writing competition. Mrs. Webb's students researched who the founding fathers were and talked about various ways students could
express their thoughts -- through a letter, an essay, etc. They discussed
ideas that they would want to discuss with the founding fathers:
technology, politics, way of life, etc.
Congratulations to the following students:
First place: Kiran won $100
Second place: Brianna won $ 75
Third place: Guilianna won $50
Congratulations to the Brawley Red baseball team
for their first round playoff win against West Iredell Middle School. 8th grader Tanner pitched a complete game shutout as Brawley rolled to a 7-0 victory. Next they face Brawley Black at West Iredell High School.
From The SGA
There is an 8th Grade Graduation Field Day, Tuesday, June 4 from 1-2:30 in the field out back! Please make sure you have your teams of 12-17 people with a team name turned in by Tuesday the 28th to your B1 teacher! If you do not fall between the limitations of the team number there may be people added to your team or eliminated from your team. There will be 10 stations including a Dunk Booth with some of your favorite Level 3 teachers, a slip n' slide, tarp and soap, and more! There will be a special surprise at the end too!! So please dress comfortably and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, wet, muddy, soapy, and sweaty! Please bring a beach towel to dry off at the end and definitely a change of clothes at the end of the day! Remember this is 8th Grade only, so no Level 1 or 2 students can participate on a team! Hope to see you all there!
