My Classroom Mission#
 
My classroom mission is to help my students achieve grade level or above growth in their academics, to change their negative behaviors to become students prepared to positively impact our society,and to learn skills that will help them become intelligent, active members of a global society#To do this I will use 21st Century technology and create hands-on resources to promote positive lifelong learners#
  
About Me

I graduated cum laude with a BFA in Textiles from the University of Georgia in Athens#  My Masters Degree is in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I also have taken coursework in Doctoral level Psychology at Georgia State, Art Methods at Mercer University, Environmental Education at the Univ. of Wisconsin at Whitewater, Anatomy and Physiology at Univ. of NC. in Chapel Hill, Hands on Math and Science at Berea College, and Gang Identification and Counseling through the Atlanta Police Task Force on Gang Violence. My most interesting educational certificate was awarded after taking coursework in Ancient Japanese Dye Techniques in Textile Chemistry at Juraku Textile International in Kyoto, Japan.  I have taught Elementary, Middle, and High School, and Textile at Art Institutes, enjoying teaching various subjects and in several states for the past 23 years.
