Dear Laker Nation! Welcome to Lakeshore Middle School.

I am excited to be your Principal.   It is a pleasure to serve and support you.

I have been principal in this area since December of 2005.

I previously served as Assistant Principal at both Lake Norman and Woodland Heights Elementary Schools and then as principal of Mt. Mourne Elementary and Coddle Creek Elementary.  I helped open Coddle Creek Elementary in 2009 and served there for six years.  Prior to administration, I was a 6th grade instructor at Brawley Middle School from 1994-2001.

I am a graduate of Greensboro College, and received my Master’s Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2003. I am from Kannapolis NC. I presently reside in Mooresville with my wife Julie and two children Noah and Skylar who both attend South Iredell High School. We have four pets in our house, "Chewie", & "Tinkerbell"our two older Yorkshire Terriers, "Neesa" our new Yorkie puppy, and "Thumper" our Rabbit.  I am really excited about the great things happening at LAKER NATION!!  Please join me and the staff in helping make this the best year at LMS yet!

Thank you for your support of our students and staff.  It is because of you that our educational team prospers.  A school mission and vision help to set direction for a school community.  I believe in the success of every child.  You will see that in the LMS Mission, Vision, and Core Values.  In order for our Lakers to be successful in High School and beyond we “must” focus on student success.

Learn-Motivate-Succeed

I look forward to meeting and working with you soon!

Brian Foster, M.A.
