Welcome to the Library Media Center (LMC)!  Ms. Lentz, Media Specialist, is here to assist you with your reading and informational needs.  I hope you will visit your Media Center often!
 
Mission Statement
The mission of the East Iredell Middle School Library Media Center is to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of information.  
 
We will accomplish this by: 
  • Promoting reading and supporting learning of all students.
  • Making library and information services available to students and teachers.
  • Providing information in a variety of formats and reading levels.

Schedule
Our media program operates on a flexible schedule.  Students come to the Library Media Center on an as-need basis.  As a student at East Middle, sometimes you will come with one of your classes for a specific activity, sometimes you will come with a small group to do research, and sometimes you will come by yourself to check out a book.  Always, you will come with a purpose!
 
Ms. Lentz and your teachers plan lessons to help you learn how to locate and use information - whether that information is in a book or online.  We also plan lessons just for fun when we read and talk about good books!
 
The Library Media Center is open every day between 8:00 and 3:30. 
 
Media Center Passes 
Unless you come with an entire class, you must bring a pass from your classroom.
