I love the months of September and October!  There is something about it that brings back memories of school days past; those perfect fall days when we, as children,  experienced the excitement of a hayride, visiting the pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin, or just taking a walk through the woods and hearing the leaves crunch under our feet.  It was, and still is, the perfect time of the year!

     As a child, my favorite school event was our Fall Festival.  School just wouldn't be the same without it; therefore, I am happy to announce that once again, the time is near for Central's annual Fall Festival!  On October 21st, we will host an array of fun activities for the whole family.  From Bingo to Cakewalks and everything in between, we have it all!  Come early and eat dinner, then enjoy the evening by participating in all the exciting games and activities.  You may even be lucky enough to win a homemade cake in our Cakewalk!

     As the year progresses, you will have the opportunity to participate in our fundraisers.  Our PTO Board members have carefully chosen products to sell which we believe you will love!  To enhance our students' learning and love of school, and to purchase the best research-based programs, supplies, and materials for our students, the money earned from these fundraisers will go toward pre-determined goals .  In addition to academic supplies, we would love to add equipment to our playground, beautify and add shade trees and benches to our walking track, and (now we're really dreaming big!) add an outdoor classroom!  Your support and participation in these fundraisers will help us accomplish these goals for our students, school, and community.

     In these first few weeks of school and throughout the year, I would like to thank everyone for the support you so generously give to Central School.  The time you give as a volunteer, support with fundraisers, and the many other ways you contribute to our school is why we are a NC School of Distinction!
