Calculators:
My math students will be using the TI-84 Graphing Calculator in class. I will provide these for the students, but if your child has one, I would ask that they not bring it to school. (Unfortunately, it could be misplaced, taken, etc....) I would ask that students (parents) donate batteries, as we must change them often because of heavy use.
Expectations:
My math classes are considered advanced and students are expected to perform at that level. This includes completing all assignments and projects, studying for tests, completing the required accelerated math objectives and participating in all classroom activities. I insist on good behavior and stress the importance of staying on task, being organized and completing all assignments. All work is expected to be turned in on assigned due dates. I send an assignment sheet home each Monday, which provides a brief outline of the week's assignments. This is simply an outline and may not include all assignments, but it does provide a framework for student expectations for each week. This also is to be used for students that are absent from a class to check for missed assignments. Please emphasize to your child the importance of completing all assigned work and returning it to class on time. Zeros will be assigned to those students who fail to complete assigned tasks.
