I feel parents and teachers are the most important role models for the next generation, and we are accountable to inspire our children to pursue their dreams.

 

        My mission is to incorporate the Transitional Math series into the Standard Course of Study so that students basic math skills can be reinforce.

        I expect my students to do their best in math by being responsible, paying attention, having good behavior, and achieving our goals. 

        I also expect students to show respect to our teachers, peers, staff, and school property.  Lastly, we all will be committed to learning.

 

      I was born and raised here in Statesville.  I graduated from North Iredell High School.  I then attended and graduated from East Carolina University.  Go Pirates !!  

I am married to my husband, Audie, and we have three children, Joshua, Kelli, and Brittany.  I have taught school for 31 years, the last 18 years here at Statesville Middle.  My favorite past times are walking, outdoors activities, and spending time with my children.

      I see teaching as having an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people.
