It is a goal of Lakeshore Middle School to have at least one conference per semester with the parent/guardian of each student during the school year.

What is considered a conference?
A qualified contact with a parent/guardian and a certified staff member (teachers, social workers, guidance counselors, SRO"s, SAP"s, administrators, and school nurses) to discuss academics and/or behavior.

Examples of conferences:

  • A face-to-face meeting (does not include Open House)
  • Email which receives a response (more than a "yes" or "no")
  • Phone calls with personal contact (leaving a message does not count)
  • EC / IEP meetings
  • Home visits
  • Notes in student planners, if two way (more than a "yes" or "no")
