My Classroom Mission
 

My mission is to provide  learning opportunities that challenge my students to build communication skills  in Spanish as well as to learn about and  cultivate understanding, respect, and appreciation of the rich  cultural traditions of Spanish-speaking peoples.    Students will to use higher order thinking skills to become globally aware, life long learners and communicators.
 

 
About Me
 
Originally from SC, I grew up in South America because of my dad's job.  I lived in Brazil for 8 years and also speak Portuguese.  I received my BA from the University of South Carolina and my M Ed. from Converse University.  I am National Board Certified. As a teacher I have travelled and studied in Spain and Mexico.  I have taught Spanish for 24 years.  My husband and I have 2 sons in middle school.  I am thrilled to be part of SIHS! Go Vikings!
