Teacher Page Descriptions
Teacher may add pages as necessary, but the following pages come standard with individual websites:
Teacher Pages
~Welcome page Content: classroom mission statement, about the teacher, contact info
~Schedule; Daily, weekly, enhancement
~Homework, homework policy
~For Parents
~Assignments, Letter to parents, expectations, discipline policy, supply list
~Calendar
~Field trips, major projects, assemblies, PTO programs
~Blog
~Photos
~Student Resources
If you do not want to use certain pages, you may choose to make them inactive. Similarly, if you need additional pages, you may add them as needed.
Teacher Page Specifications
• No moving artwork anywhere. Other Clipart used: site the source.• Tables and images may be no larger than 540px.• Students’ last names may not appear on the website.• Links to personal, external websites that do not offer educational merit are not to be used (ie. Myspace, facebook, blogspot, geocities, etc). External links will be spot checked by school and district webmasters and will be removed if deemed inappropriate.Links to external sites need to open in a new window.
Fonts
• Font style for content on all webpages is Tahoma size 2, black.• Font style for headings/titles is Tahoma and may not exceed size 4.• All content is left-justified. Do not center body content.• Use title case, not all caps.• No bold, underlined, or italicized content (links will underline themselves).Links• Links to external websites may not be used without approval of the school webmaster. These links may not be inappropriate and must be contributive to academics/learning. If a district level webmaster finds a link inappropriate, it will be removed. (Pay particular attention to websites that have a lot of advertising on them, as some of these can be deemed inappropriate for students).
