Mission Statement

    MYP Math students will become lifelong learners, problem solvers, critical thinkers, and global mathematicians.  We will accomplish this by learning our Common Core Standards and MYP objectives while practicing the MYP aims.

About Me
 
   Welcome to Mount Mourne School!  The 2012-2013 school year will be my third year of teaching and my second year at Mount Mourne.  I am thankful to be working at such a fantastic school filled with such a dedicated staff and rigorous curriculum!
 
   I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education, specializing in Mathematics and Science.  I obtained my degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio and moved to North Carolina in 2010.
 
   I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures.  I have traveled to Italy, France, and Costa Rica and look forward to many more adventures!  I also have acquired a passion for running and have participated in many competitive races throughout the community.  I ran my first half marathon this past summer in San Francisco, which was a very remarkable experience!
 
   I look forward to a wonderful 2012-2013 school year at Mount Mourne!
