About PBIS at Cloverleaf
Classroom Horseshoe Program
By working as a team and being respectful, classes earn classroom horseshoes! They earn these horseshoes from faculty and staff members that observe the class modeling the 3R's, whether it's in the hallway, the library or in the classroom# These expectations are outlined on the PBIS matrix posted throughout the building#
Each classroom tallies their horseshoe earning and charts their achievement on graphs outside their classroom# When they reach 25 classroom horseshoes, they have earned a golden horseshoe and have a classroom celebration!
When a classroom earns four golden horseshoes #100 classroom horseshoes#, they receive a golden colt! Earning a class colt is a great achievement and shows true teamwork# Class colts are charted on the bulletin board outside of the cafeteria for the whole school to celebrate!
Individual Horseshoe Program
Students also have opportunities to earn individual horseshoes! When students individually demonstrate respectful behavior #3R's# above and beyond, they are given an individual horseshoe. students can be caught being respectful and given a horseshoe by staff members.
When students earn 25 individual horseshoes, they then receive a golden horseshoe! At the K-2 level, students can redeem these golden horseshoes for an item at the PBIS book store.
Students in grades 3-5 can redeem their golden horseshoes for a chance on the prize spinner! Prizes include sitting in the teacher's chair for the day, a homework pass, getting the chance to add their name to the PBIS Brag board, along with other exciting options.
Students keep track of their earned individual horseshoes all year long. The student with the most horseshoes at the end of the year in each classroom will be invited to a special PBIS celebration!
