Welcome to the WIHS Guard PageAnnouncements: 11/15/2011 - The first payment is due this Friday. This payment will go towards our CWEA registration. If registration is not paid this weekend, we will not be in the first draw. First draw allows us the opportunity to perform later in our class at competiitons.
11/15/2011 - First practice of the season this evening. Arrive at least a few min early so that practice can start on time.

5/11/2011 - Congratulations to the new 2011-2012 Warrior Band Colorguard! The members are (in alphabetical order): Amber, Anna, Catherine, Deeanna, Michelle, and Taylor. We're looking forward to a fun, successful season. 4/5/2011 - We have the opportunity to purchase seven rifles and seven sabres at a significantly discounted price. The CWEA packet can be download here. 3/21/2011 - We will continue to practice once a week (Tues, 6-8pm) after the winterguard season. These practices will focus on technique, muscle development, and movement. I encourage everyone that plan to do guard (fall or winter) to attend.

Download the add-on information (call time, return time, etc) here. 2/25/2011 - I apologize for the confusion on the call time for the NW Guilford competition. I have correct the itinerary. Call time is at 7:45am. Parents that plan to drive/attend the competition should arrive by 10:15am. We plan to leave WIHS by 11:00am. We will stop at a nearby fast food place for lunch. We need to be on the road after lunch by 12:00pm. 2/24/2011 - The itinerary for the NW Guilford competition on 2/26/11 is now available. Click here to download it. 1/18/2011 - We will not attend the Rock Hill competition on 2/12/2011. We will use that day as a workshop to finish and clean the show. Everyone is expected to be at practice.

12/02/2010 - We are looking for parents to drive and/or chaperone for the competitions. I need at least two drivers, preferably with a van or SUV. We also need volunteers for other activities. Please call or email me if you are interested.
11/20/2010 - The first winterguard payment of $50 is due on December 7th. This payment will cover the cost of CWEA registration. Make checks out to West Iredell Band Boosters.
11/15/2010 - Etude Winterguard will hold their annual clinic this year on Nov 20th at Northwestern HS (Rock Hill, SC). Attendance at this clinic is optional. The clinic costs $15; lunch is provided. We will meet at WIHS at 7:00am. The clinic starts at 9am and ends at 5pm. We should return to WIHS by 7pm. I can provide transportation for four guard members. Please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend the clinic. |
