Hello, my name is Jerry Snyder and I am the freshmen leadership teacher.  This is my ninth year teaching here at West Iredell High School.  

I am originally from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University.  While in college I majored in Kinesiology hoping to one day become an athletic director.  However, I love the position I'm now in and can't think of another position I would enjoy doing as much. 

I have coached several sports throughout the years.  I enjoy working with young people in all areas of life.  I believe teaching and coaching are two of the most rewarding opportunities a person has in life.  In what spare time I have I like to play sports, relax at home, and enjoy the company of friends and family.
