Using the following resources will lead to your student's success:

1) Study cards (Made each time we reach new properties or as the students sees fit.)
2) Notebook (Notes and examples help students to do daily work. Work not finished in class can at least be copied and ready.)
3) Workbooks or Textbooks (Regular worksheets will make the student comfortable with all assessments.)
4) Report for regular tutoring as needed. (Mon., Wed., or Thurs. after school if no other appt. is scheduled)
5) Work on study island

Chapter 7: Solving systems of equations and inequalities

7.1 Solving by graphing (y= mx +b)

   a) place the 2 equations beside each other and labe "a" and "b"
   b) type equations into y=
   c) 2nd trace 5 enter, enter enter
   d) answer is an ordered pair

7.2 Solving by substitution
                   a) find the equation that has a coefficient of 1 (1 beside the variable)
                   b) get that variable by itself and substitute into the other equation
                   c) solve by any process that you can
                   d) substitute this # into either equation and find the other variable
                   e) write as an ordered pair

7.3 Solving by elimination (addition)
                    a) Mult. either equation, if necessary, in order to make opposite coefficients
                    b) If equations are opposites use addition rules and solve
                    c) Students will fill this value in and find the 2nd number

7.4-7.6 Solving inequalities
                    a) Use the same steps as you did for solving equations
                    b) Students will learn to shade by looking for y-intercept and understanding the inequality symbols
