Hello, I am Melissa Deacon, an Intervention Specialist with the I3 team. I am very excited to start this new chapter with Iredell-Statesville Schools and I look forward to working with schools to increase student achievement at all levels.
On a personal note, My husband, Eric, and I moved to NC from Tampa, Florida in 2006 and we love living in Charlotte with our 3 boxers. I received my B.S. in Music Education from the University of South Florida and I have my Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. I am a member of a women's barbershop chorus called the Queen Charlotte Chorus which is a chapter of Sweet Adelines (www.queencharlottechorus.com).
