About Me

I graduated from Indiana State University in May 2003 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics Education and minor in Dance. After graduation, I moved to North Carolina and took a job teaching high school mathematics, including Algebra 1 and 2, Technical Mathematics 1 and 2, and Pre-Algebra, in Wilkes County. I taught there for 5 years as well as coached the color guard, co-sponsored the Executive Council and was the Supervisor for the SAT.

After leaving Wilkes with my husband's job, I taught at North Iredell High School for two years. While there, I taught Algebra Connections, Algebra 1, and Geometry Honors.

This is my third year at South Iredell High School. Last year, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Foundations of Advanced Algebra, and Geometry. This year I am excited to have mostly Geometry classes.

My huband, Michael, works for Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Mooresville. We have been married for 9 years. We have two boys, Peyton and Kamdyn. We also have two huskies named Kaiya and Snoop. During our free time, we like to do activities together as a family especially at the soccer field. You will find us supporting the Viking athletes at various home athletic events.

In May 2012, I completed my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership Studies at Gardner-Webb University. In the future I would like to be a principal.
