About Me

Mr. Jim Williams, Career Development Coordinator
I am married with three children. My wife Nan and I both graduated from South Iredell. Our daughter is attending the University of Tennessee.  We have one son at South and the other is at Troutman Middle. With everyone at different schools, our family is kept busy going to sporting events and other activities.

I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and worked in business for twenty years before becoming a teacher.  I received my teaching credentials from Appalachian State University. I recently completed my Masters program in instructional technology through Appalachian.

My family enjoys animals. We take care of four horses, three dogs and several cats on our farm outside of Troutman.  Working on the farm helps me to relax and stay close to my family.

I work with two clubs here at South: the Interact Club and the National Technical Honor Society.  I invite any student who is interested in helping others to join the Interact Club.  We are a service club and stay busy working with the less fortunate in our area.  You need to check out our club webpage to learn more.  The NTHS is a honor society for students who have excelled in Career and Technical Classes.  Students receive graduation honors and recognition.

I look forward to working with you and hope that your high school experience is a great one.  Remember that you only have one chance to make your high school memories so work hard and be all you can be.
