French III objectives:

 

  1. To identify and recall the vocabulary of: the post office, jewelry, accessories, the bank, the airport, the train station, hotel, breakfast food, professions, nationalities of francophone countries, social issues, driving, and the gas station.
  2. To be able to read and comprehend simple poetry in the target language.
  3. To comprehend and employ the expressions of: il y a, depuis, and the “tout” adjective.
  4. To differentiate between the relative pronouns Qui and Que, and known when to apply them to combine sentences together.
  5. To master all the pronouns by knowing what they represent and where to place them in both past and present tense: direct object, indirect object, y, en, and stress.
  6. To be able to discern which interrogative form to use when asking a question, then recall and apply the correct form based on a given answer.
  7. To be able to replace more than one noun with its correct pronoun, and rewrite it knowing how and where to place double object pronouns.
  8. To learn about the culture of: le Maghreb (Algeria, Tuensia, Morocco), chateaux, French Candad, famous francophone people, West African francophone countries, French Polynesia, and modern France’s social problems.
  9. To recognize and  apply the imperfect tense.
  10. To differentiate between when to use the passé compose and imperfect tense, then to combine them properly in written and oral expression.
  11. To identify and apply the future tense in both written and oral expression.
  12. To identify and apply the conditional tense in both written and oral expression; to employ the use of “si” clauses combining present, future and conditional tenses.
